Yogis are consciously taking care of their body and mind as they find it important to live a healthy and positive Ayurveda lifestyle. Yoga is all about positive energy between body and mind and achieving this by doing meditation, asana’s and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. They love to discover new healthy Ayurvedic food and they recently discovered moringa… And they love it! Why, you may wonder. Let’s find out!

Moringa is Ayurvedic

Ayurveda, a century-old Indian science of life (Ayur = life, Veda = science or knowledge), offers a body of wisdom created to help people stay vibrant and healthy while realizing their full human potential. It differentiates and aims to balance the doshas — three types of Bioelements in the body: Vata (the power of impulses), Pitta (the power of fire) and Kapha (the power of structure).

Vata is an airy element which controls movement. Without Vata, Pitta and Kapha cannot move. For those who are predominantly Vata, constant change in the mind and body may be experienced and fear and anxiety may surface. Vatas must make efforts to find rest and relaxation. Breathing exercises, for example, could help rebalance a Vata.

Pitta is an fiery element. It is characterized by heat and aligns with digestion and metabolism. Pittas can be very active and easily stressed. You can bring Pitta in balance by going outdoors, having a peaceful walk, or by practicing meditation.

Kapha is a watery element. Kapha is the nourishing element which plays an important role in taste perception. Kaphas may feel introverted due to the structure of life. Depression and weight gain may be experienced by Kaphas when balance is out of order. Bring Kapha to balance by exercising and incorporating healthier food into your diet.

Moringa can bring your Pitta and Kapha in balance by eating the healthy, nutrient-dense plant that gives you the energy you need. In the Ayurvedic system of medicine, moringa is said to cure or prevent around 300 diseases. More recently, the modern scientific community has begun to validate many of these claims with over 1500 studies, articles, and publications on moringa. The wide array of studies has led the Kuli Kuli team to dub moringa the “multivitamin in a leaf.”

With high amounts of calcium, iron, vitamins, and all of the same essential amino acids as any other complete protein, like quinoa or meat, moringa is the perfect complement to a healthy lifestyle and is used by millions of people worldwide to gain the nutrients they need to thrive.
